Usman Riaz, a designer portfolio built around one process
A portfolio site for an industrial designer in Ankara who works across physical products, interfaces and the web. Three full case studies, a metro train, an earthquake communication device and a hiking app, shown through the one process they share.

Usman's work does not fit one shelf. A metro train, a wearable emergency device and a campus hiking app sit in three different disciplines, and a typical portfolio grid would make him look like three different designers. Studios hiring for product, UI/UX or web each needed to see that the same way of working sits under all of it.
A site that leads with the process instead of the medium. The home page names three disciplines, then shows the six steps every project goes through. Each case study is laid out the same way, from field research and personas to sketches, CAD and documentation, so the method reads clearly whichever project a visitor opens first.
Usman trained as an industrial designer at ODTU in Ankara and is now completing an MFA in interior architecture at Bilkent. His projects include GAIA 6, a metro train for Ankara's M3 and M6 lines, Vodamesh, a mesh communication device for earthquakes made with Vodafone, and Explore Mate, a hiking app for the METU campus forest. The site had to hold all three without making any of them feel like a side project.
We built it in Framer on a calm off-white ground. The home page opens on his name set large, moves into the three selected projects, then a scroll-driven statement before the services appear as three coloured cards that stack as you scroll. A six-step process runs as a slow marquee, Discover to Evaluate, and the about panel links straight to the full portfolio PDF, the CV and his email. The contact form asks what kind of project you have in mind before asking for details.
Each case study follows the same shape: context, role and team up top, then the research, the people it was designed for, the sketches and iterations, and the finished product down to exploded views and technical drawings. Building it in Framer means Usman can update projects and copy himself.
